It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas is a time of hope. It’s a time to be surrounded by family and friends. And most important of all – it’s a season to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus! We’ve got a lot of fun and exciting things happening at Brockport First Baptist during Advent and Christmas. Scroll down to learn more – and then join us to celebrate this holy season!

Advent Teaching Series

Sundays in December – 10am

Worship with us all Advent long as we explore how each of the four Gospels introduces Jesus a little differently. It’s a series we’re calling: “Advent According To…” We’ll talk about Matthew’s wise men, Luke’s shepherds, and why Gospels like Mark and John don’t mention Christmas at all.

Advent Small Groups

Looking to go a little deeper this holiday season? Join an Advent small group! To accommodate busy schedules, we are offering the same small group experience at three different times: (1) Mondays at 6pm, (2) Wednesdays at noon, and (3) Wednesdays at 6pm. We will be using a video study from The Bible Project – so there is no book to buy! Click the button below to contact the church and sign up for a group!

Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 8 – 1pm

Come make a joyful noise to the Lord! We will be Christmas caroling at Evergreen Place on Sunday December 8. Meet at church at 12:30pm – we’ll carpool from there. If you play an instrument, bring it along! Songs will be played in the key of C.

Holiday Light Parade

Sunday, December 8 – 5pm

Brockport’s Holiday Light parade passes right by our church this year – and we’ll be setup on the lawn to take in the festivities and party with our neighbors! We’re gonna have a bonfire going, some games for the kids, free hot chocolate, and of course restrooms! Be sure to join us and help spread a little holiday cheer to our neighbors.

Angel Tree

Donations Due by December 13

We have adopted six families from the Brockport Central School District and will be providing Christmas presents for the kids. Take a tag from the Angel Tree in the Fellowship Hall, go shopping, and return the gift to church (with the corresponding tag attached) by Friday, December 13. Monetary donations are also welcome. Contact the church with any questions.

Christmas Eve Service

Tuesday, December 24 – 4pm

Celebrate the birth of Jesus with us at our annual candlelight Christmas Eve service. This year we’re doing our own take on a traditional “Lessons and Carols” service. We’ll be hearing the entire Christmas story and singing all our favorite Christmas songs!

Come out and worship with us on Christmas Eve – be sure to bring a friend!

Jazz Christmas Service

Sunday, December 29 – 10am

Christmas doesn’t end on the 25th! Join us for worship the Sunday after Christmas as we keep the spirit of the season alive with a jazz-themed Christmas mini-concert. We’ll be joined by the Bill Tiberio Band to sing jazz renditions of Christmas classics! It will be morning full of readings, prayer, and some great music. Don’t miss it!
